Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and the Arizona Department of Health Services rescinded orders that direct K-12 schools to require masks on Monday, April 19, 2021.  His news release says, “K-12 school districts and charter schools still maintain the right to institute and enforce policies to mitigate against COVID-19 spread, including the use of masks.” The release further states that, “Arizona schools are encouraged to continue to take actions consistent with CDC recommendations, the Roadmap, and the Guidance to mitigate the spread of the virus.”

To ensure that we finish this school year strong, healthy, and safe, Pima JTED upholds the requirement that all individuals who enter our campuses wear a mask and continue to follow all COVID mitigation protocols. We greatly appreciate everyone’s cooperation to protect the wellbeing of our community.
