Courses for Standard CTE Certification
The following series of “Professional Knowledge” courses is designed for Provisionally Certified CTE Teachers to earn a Standard CTE Teaching Certificate. Known as the Premier Program Series, these courses are offered by the Pima County JTED and are taught by Curt Bertelsen.
Each of these courses has been approved by the Arizona Department of Education (A.D.E.). Teachers will receive an official A.D.E. certificate upon completion of each course. These certificates are accepted by the A.D.E. Certification Office to meet the “professional knowledge” requirement for Standard CTE Certification.
As a benefit to teachers there is no charge for these courses or certificates for teachers employed by Pima County JTED and our member districts.
Attendance at every course session is essential for success and mandatory for certification for each participant. In the event of an emergency, please contact our office at 520-352-5833 to speak with Pima County JTED Professional Development. Pima County JTED will do its best to provide opportunities to complete the course in order to provide the final certification required.
