- Ditching
- Possession of matches, lighter
- Unsafe driving
- Leaving class without permission
Possible Consequences for Level 1 Offenses
- Verbal or Written Warning
- Document parent contract
- Make up time before or after school
- Temporary removal from class (to office or other designated area)
- Loss of break privileges for a day or week
- Temporary loss of driving privileges for a shortened period of time
- Removal to office or cooperating teacher
Level 2
- Disrupting the educational environment
- Repeated safety precaution violation (not following recommended/enforced protocols)
- False reporting
- Inappropriate use of technology (repeated)
- Possessing or displaying obscene materials
- Cheating, plagiarism, dishonesty
- Intimidation towards students (physical, verbal or otherwise)
- Minor aggressive act, creating conflict
- Harassment
- Vandalism
- Defiance, uncooperative behavior
- Offensive language with references to: Race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, Veteran status, genetic information, citizenship, health status, and PPE.
Possible Consequences for Level 2 Offenses
- Documented parent contact
- Loss of break, technology, or other privileges for a day or week
- Make up time before or after school
- Temporary removal from class (to office or other designated area)
- 1-2 day out of school suspension (OSS) – (1 day = full class/Skills Saturday)
- Student Contract or self reflection/mediation documentation
Level 3
- False reporting (repeated)
- Leaving school/campus/JTED activity without permission during school or designated hours
- Sexual harassment
- Sexual misconduct on campus
- Inappropriate or vulgar language directed at a staff member
- Destruction of property
- Taking/posting a photo or video of someone without permission
Possible Consequences for Level 3 Offenses
- 3 days out of school suspension (OSS) – (1 day = full class/Skills Saturday)
- Student Contract or self reflection/mediation documentation
Level 4
- Cyberbullying and computer misuse
- Criminal intent
- Stealing/Theft
- Gang activity/affiliation
- Hazing/Intimidation
- Bullying (repeated)
- Fighting, provoking, or instigating a fight
- Selling, using, possessing or distributing tobacco or nicotine, (including e-cigarettes [vaping], hookah, patches, smoking or chewing of any kind) and mimicking substitutions
- Offensive language with references to: Race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, Veteran status, genetic information, citizenship, health status, and PPE.
Possible Consequences for Level 4 Offenses
- 5 days out of school suspension (OSS) – (1 day = full class/Skills Saturday)
- Student Contract or self reflection/mediation documentation
Level 5
- Selling, using, possessing, or distributing alcohol, drugs, prescription drugs, other controlled substances or any mimicking substitutions or paraphernalia
- Threats, intimidation towards staff members
- Selling, using or possessing weapons, simulated weapons, fireworks or other dangerous items
- Committing a crime
- Creating a danger to the educational environment
- Creating a physically hazardous condition
Possible Consequences for Level 5 Offenses
- Temporary removal from class (to office or other designated area)
- Notification of Law Enforcement
- 10 days out of school suspension (OSS) pending long-term hearing – (1 day = full class/Skills Saturday)
- Long term suspension hearing will be requested and scheduled to determine if student may return to classes, campus and participation in JTED activities.
