At their weekly meeting on January 26, the Rotary Club of Tucson Foundation donated the proceeds from its 2021 Tucson Classics Car Show event totaling $382,604.56 to the Pima JTED Innovative Learning Center @ The Bridges, located at 3300 S. Park Ave. Pima JTED was named the primary beneficiary of the event after it successfully competed among non-profit organizations for the Rotary Club’s Dream Big Centennial Project. The organization has given a total of $456,656.56 to Pima JTED over the past two years, and has awarded more than $2 million to charities during the past 15 years.

JTED Governing Board Members Alex Jácome, Cindy Rankin, Bob Schlanger, JTED Grants Specialist Danette Davis, JTED Superintendent/CEO Kathy Prather, Car Show Chair Joni Condit, Rotarians Jim Lubinski, and President Mark Irvin.

The funds support Career and Technical Education programs which enable high school students the opportunity to earn industry credentials and state licenses to begin working in a number of career fields upon graduating high school including, Licensed Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, FAA Drone Operator, and Automation and Robotics.

All high school age students who live within the boundaries of a member high school district are eligible to enroll in Pima JTED’s Career and Technical Education programs for free regardless of school choice.
