Enrollment
Eligibility
The Pima County JTED serves high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and students who are in the process of earning a GED and are under 22 years of age. Due to changes in the law being made by the Arizona Legislature, we no longer serve students who have graduated high school or who have earned a GED. Eligible students must live within the boundaries of a Pima County JTED member school district, and may attend a public, private, charter, or home school.
Wearing is Caring
Our goal is to stay healthy and keep our campuses open to maximize opportunities for student learning. Due to the fact that many people, especially younger students, have not received a COVID-19 vaccine, we require staff and students to wear facemasks to avoid outbreaks of the virus that could force us to close our campuses and return to online learning. We have PPE available for staff and students, convenient hand sanitizer stations, and acrylic barriers to help mitigate the spread of germs. We also have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing high-touch surfaces, use recommended high-grade air filters in our HVAC units, and ask that all staff complete a daily health screener before entering campuses. Stay home if you have any symptoms of a cold, the flu, or COVID-19. We appreciate everyone who does their part to protect our JTED family.
Student Success
Every Pima County JTED employee is committed to helping all of our students succeed. We encourage students and parents and guardians to read the Student Handbook, and all materials that our instructors provide in class. Students, parents, and members of the community are encouraged to contact any staff member if they have questions, concerns, or know of an issue that impedes student progress.
