Class Pet
Pima JTED’s Veterinary Assisting Program offers high school students a combination of theory, hands-on learning, and the opportunity to work with licensed veterinarians during our two-year program to become Approved Veterinary Assistants through NAVTA (National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America). Our students work under the direction of Veterinary Care professionals and operate the ClassPet Pima JTED Veterinary Clinic, which offers the services listed below for pets during the school year.
In order to create a positive and enjoyable experience for your pet, our dedicated staff, and students in the Veterinary Assistant Program, we are unable to offer veterinary or grooming services for pets with a history of aggression toward people, including biting or nipping. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone involved.

Please note:
- A minimum service fee of $20.00 per pet (gratuity welcomed for future grooming supply purchases).
- Pets must have a current rabies vaccine on file with Class Pet Pima JTED Veterinary Clinic at the time of the appointment.
- Appointments are available for 90 minutes each:
- 8:30 – 10 a.m.
- 10 – 11:30 a.m.
- 12 – 1:30 p.m.
- 1:30 – 3 p.m.

Making an Appointment
Our goal is to provide quality veterinary care and grooming services to all our patients and their owners in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience not only our providers and student workers but also other clients waiting for appointment availability for their pets. Please review our policy regarding missed appointments.
Appointment Fee Policy When scheduling an appointment for your pet, a non-refundable fee is required to secure your pet’s appointment time. This fee will be applied toward services provided at the time of your pet’s appointment. To be respectful to our providers and other clients, please contact Class Pet as soon as you know you cannot attend your scheduled appointment.

Missed Appointment Policy:
If cancellation is necessary, we require at least 48 hours’ notice. Appointments are in high demand, and your advance notice allows another client the opportunity to schedule care for their pet. While the appointment fee is non-refundable, in cases of unavoidable emergencies or circumstances beyond your reasonable control, all or part of the fee may be applied toward future services.

Your pet’s appointments and well-being are very important to us. We understand that unexpected delays can occur, requiring schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least 48 hours’ notice.

If you need to cancel your pet’s appointment, please call us at 520-209-1963 between the hours of 12:00 pm–6:00 pm Monday–Thursday. You may leave a detailed voicemail message, and we will return your call as soon as possible. You may also email us at classpet@pimajted.org.
