To honor and remember the legacy of Mel Zuckerman
Your gift will honor Mel Zuckerman’s legacy…
of building a better community and improving the lives of all people. Mel was an entrepreneur and with his wife, Enid, was a well-loved philanthropist who was not only devoted to living a healthy lifestyle, but strived to help people all over the world learn to take charge of their own health and well-being. He has left his family and all of us an incredible legacy of advancing Public Health, Education, and Medicine.
The Zuckerman Family wishes to continue building upon this legacy with gifts in lieu of flowers to support the new Enid and Mel Zuckerman Health and Medical Careers High School Fund. This new state-of-the-art building on the Pima JTED Innovative Learning Center Campus at The Bridges in Tucson, Arizona will provide high school students an opportunity to earn state licenses and industry credentials to enter the health care workforce upon graduation, or become more successful in their post-secondary education.
The new two-story building will house 50,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, and clinical space for a variety of programs including: Licensed Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Public Health, as well as house our Veterinary Science program.
“I am happy to honor the work that Mel and Enid have done over the decades. Canyon Ranch has had a huge impact on my mind, body, and spirit and it could not have been done without the integrative approach to healthcare that they have provided. I hope that their dream of providing financial assistance to young minds going into the health and medical industry will be realized, and further the work they have started.

The love they poured into Canyon Ranch in Tucson over 5 decades ago still shines through today. It is a testament to their hard work, love for nature, care of people, and zest for life. I look forward to being able to visit again soon.”
