This is an introductory course into all of the advanced healthcare pathway programs that JTED offers. Students will not be considered a “completer”/”concentrator” by the state of Arizona after taking this course alone.
Things to Consider
- You must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
- You must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Strong communication skills and compassion for people/family are necessary.

- Blood pressure cuff (Do not purchase the combination stethoscope/blood pressure cuff that is attached together from Wal-Mart/Walgreens, etc.)
- Wrist watch with a second hand for taking vitals. Mandatory part of dress code – must be worn every day. No digital or smart watches.
- Stethoscope with a bell and diaphragm.
