HVAC

Learn residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and servicing. Prepare for employment in residential and light commercial HVAC service and installation. Master the refrigeration cycle, electrical controls, brazing, and soldering.

Classes for Fall Semester

August – October BCT 105 – Basic Rigging class.

Start the BCT 107 class in October and complete in December.  BCT 107 is Hand & Power Tool Safety and basic blueprint class.  Both of these classes will require some online learning and you will visit the campus for the hands-on practice and exam portion of the NCCER certifications.

While you are building your skills on this level you will also take BCT 132 – Residential & Industrial HVAC I class which runs August – December and is also a blend of online and in-person learning.

This is a concurrent program – which means you will register as a college student with PCC and be expected to attend classes as a college student.  JTED will pay the cost of tuition and books.  You will earn both college and high school credit.

Classes for Spring Semester

Students will be required to take the remaining two HVAC classes: BCT 133 & 134.
