This program covers diagnostic techniques, and the principles of mechanics, electricity and electronics as they relate to the repair, installation, service, and maintenance of HVAC-R systems.

- Students are required to attend an Information Session in the Spring semester
- JTED will communicate with students and parents the days and times of the sessions
- Parents/Guardians complete JTED enrollment
- Students complete PCC Onboarding requirements

Things to Consider
- In this program high school students complete
- Hybrid classes (a blend of in-person and online learning)
- 80% mastery required on all certification exams
- Students provide their own transportation to the downtown campus
- In this program, you are a high school student and a college student. Your performance is reflected on your transcript for your high school and Pima Community College.
- Your grades for this course will impact your college GPA as well as your high school GPA.
- Students earn college credit while in the program.
- Students need to be 18 years old & have an Arizona driver’s license for direct employment.
- Earning a high school diploma or HSE is required for direct employment.
- Students should be able to lift 40 lbs.
- If student wants their EPA certification, they will be required to complete level II & III HVAC classes in the Summer session.
