Learn residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and servicing.  Be ready for direct employment in residential and light commercial HVAC service and installation.  Study the refrigeration cycle, electrical controls, and master brazing and soldering.

  • EPA 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification

Things to Consider About this Program

  • Students need to be 18 years old for direct employment 
  • Earning a high school diploma or HSE is required for direct employment
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs

  • Semester 1: Customer Relations/Service, Introduction to HVAC, Electrical Safety & basics, Thermostats & Controls, Electric Motors, Variable Speed Motors
  • Semester 2: Gas-Heating, Heat Pump, System Piping, Air Flow,  Basics Service Procedures, Systems Charging, Troubleshooting, Preventative Maintenance
  • This program is complete in one school year
